This presentation highlights some major challenges to sanitation especially in slums and describes how malnutrition and a lack of sanitation contribute to the global health burden. The presentation presents diverse types of sanitation such as using toilets, VIPs, pit latrines, the pee poo bags, etc. and explains why it is important to sanitise and how. Conclusions: - Bacterial pathogens (Salmonellosis, Thyphoid fever, Cholera etc) inactivated with great margins - Ascaris and virus requires 34°C - Pathogen inactivation shortened by temperature - With diarrhoea faster NH3 distribution - High user acceptance
