WASTE works towards sustainable improvement of the urban poor's living conditions and the urban environment in general. Our multi-year, multi-country programmes and projects have a focus on bottom-up development in relation to recycling, solid waste management, ecological sanitation and knowledge sharing. WASTE, located in the Netherlands, teams up with organisations in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe that share its goals and approaches.

Their mission: Working for a Healthy Environment for All Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF), is an international network of over 100 women’s, environmental and health organisations implementing projects in 40 countries and advocating globally for a healthy environment for all. Their overall Goal: Achieving an Equitable and Sustainable Future They strive for balancing environment, health and economy, taking different needs and perspectives of women and men into account. They enable women and men to participate at local and global level in policy processes for sustainable development. Their network’s activities are based on our partners’ own visions and needs. WECF implements solutions locally and influences policy internationally.

Women for Water Partnership (WfWP) is a worldwide strategic alliance of local, national and international women’s organisations and networks, active in the areas of sustainable development, water & sanitation, poverty and gender. WfWP consists of 24 women’s networks with subsidiaries in approximately 100 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, the EECCA region and Western Europe.
