Rural Community Development Society (RCDS) is a registered, PCP certified national organization working in Punjab province of Pakistan since 1998. RCDS has implemented development and humanitarian response project(s) with the financial and technical support of UNDP, IOM, FAO, Welthungerhilfe, Helvetas Swiss International, The Asia Foundation, Agribusiness Support Fund, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, Plan International, Trust Voluntary Organization. RCDS is a member of different national and international networks, forums and alliances for contributing to SDGs through humanitarian & integrated programs and have outreach in 22 districts of the province. Over the past 2 decades, RCDS has served more than 750,000 households through integrated development and humanitarian assistance programs with UN agencies, International NGOs and Private Sector.
WASH (including provision of sanitation system in rural areas, improving sanitation conditions in public schools, social mobilization through behavior change communication and strategies in communities following PATS approach) are key areas of interventions of RCDS. RCDS has completed 53 projects on water and sanitation with different donors in both development and humanitarian contexts. Equity & Equality, Inclusion and Environment are cross cutting themes across all programs.
