Responding to crises: Changing climate and evolving pandemics

Due to COVID-19, the EEHF 2021 will be postponed until May 2021 and held online. To make the conference more accessible and keep the presentations and panel discussions more manageable, the EEHF will be held between 24 - 28 May 2021.

Further Description / Program

Agenda: A logistics note will be sent out with further details on the agenda and how to access the conference in Spring 2021. We welcome any ideas on how to make the conference more creative and engaging online!

Theme: Responding to crises: changing climate and evolving pandemics

Abstract submission: Applications will be considered outside these but we encourage proposals on the following themes:

-Environmental health response to climate change
-Environmental health response and surveillance in disease outbreaks (including COVID19, cholera, Ebola)
-Changing the behaviour of communities and implementers
-Inclusive WASH (including women, girls, people with disabilities and older adults)
-WASH and undernutrition

Monday to Thursday will be comprised of 15 minute oral presentations with live Q&A for the presenters and 5 minute poster presentations with live Q&A in break out rooms for the poster presenters.

Friday will be a WASH research capacity workshop where they will discuss the barriers to conducting research in humanitarian crises, research designs and methods to use and how to improve research and innovation proposals.

The registration is for the whole week, you can attend all days, any part of a day or any part of the sessions, registration will give you access to all 5 days of the EEHF.

The EEHF will be comprised of webinars comprising 15-minute oral presentations with live Q&A and break out rooms for Q&A with presenters during poster sessions. All sessions will be chaired and thematically linked to one another.
