SuSanA at World Water Week 2023

SuSanA will be present at the World Water Week 2023 in Stockholm! We are excited to share with you that we are planning to have several informal gathering events and an on-site SuSanA booth, to host a Women´s Mingle for female water and sanitation professionals and to be convenor of four sessions during the WWWeek! Please find a short description of our activities and events below or check out our event page here:

33rd SuSanA Meeting (Sun. August 20th from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm CEST, SEI Lounge)

This one-day event will provide a platform for SuSanA Partners, Members, Working Groups, Regional Chapters, and others to meet and exchange ideas. Expect engaging pitches, group discussions, and presentations focused on SuSanA's thematic priorities as we reach the mid-term of the SDGs. The meeting will be hybrid, with Sessions 1 and 2 held in person at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) in Stockholm, and Sessions 3 and 4 available in a hybrid format.

Joint Evening - SuSanA Get-together (Sun. August 20th from 7.00 pm CEST, Djurgårdsbron - Sjöcafé)

SuSanA Booth (August 21st to 24th; Waterfront Congress Centre)

If you're planning to visit the World Water Week in Stockholm, make sure to drop by the joint Swiss Water Partnership (SWP) and SuSanA booth to meet, connect, exchange, and push the agenda towards achieving the SDGs through sustainable sanitation. Along with members of our SuSanA Secretariat we will bring you key literature of current sanitational developments, brochures of our partners and even a miniature version of the Fresh Life Toilet! Check out the demonstrations at the booth below and stay tuned for further updates.

  • The WANA Chapter will have their mingle on Tuesday 22nd August from 10:00-11:30 CEST at the SuSanA Booth. Join us in celebrating the launch of the new publication on "Resilience and Innovation in Jordan's Wastewater Sector"!
  • Find out about interesting pitches on Container Based Sanitation on Wednesday 23rd August, 10:30-11:00 CEST at the SuSanA booth.

    Pitch 2: Unlocking carbon credit revenue through climate-smart sanitation (Isabella Montgomery, CBSA)

  • Another gripping pitch on "Transformative sanitation services for booming cities - Mechanized pit emptying" by FreshLife will be on Wednesday 23rd August as well, from 15:00-15:30 CEST at the SuSanA booth!

European Chapter Meeting (Tue. August 22nd, 11-12:00 am CEST, Downtown Camper Café)

Join researchers and practioners from Europe working in sustainable sanitation to connect and exchange experiences!

Stronger Together! Water Women´s Evening Mingle and Networking (Tue. August 22nd from 6:30-8:30 pm, Scandic continental, Vasagatan 22, Stockholm)

Join us for an enjoyable meet and mingle over drinks and food, where you can connect with like-minded professional water women from around the globe who share your commitment to tackling water and sanitation challenges. Networking is key to a women´s career!
