WHO ARE WE? We are a Chilean non-profit organization composed of experts recognized by the State of Chile in community management of rural and peri-urban water and sanitation. FESAN is made up of 7 large Chilean cooperatives for drinking water and rural sanitation, characterized by excellent management and providing drinking water to more than 100,000 people. Our team integrates technical and social expertise: social leaders, hydraulic engineers, political science professionals, and experts in administrative and commercial management.
WHAT DO WE DO AND WHY? In FESAN we are convinced that it is not enough to deliver water and/or sanitation works to a community: it is essential to ensure that the service is maintained over time. That is why we work hand in hand with rural and peri-urban communities to ensure the sustainability of their access to safe drinking water and sanitation services through participatory training programs and projects. We improve the operational management and governance of organizations by strengthening their own capacities.
