Looking for good examples of progress on menstrual health in the East and Southern Africa region 14. Nov 2020

News written by WoMena

Do you have any reports or other documentation on progress or important events in the region? WoMena has been asked to update the report we did for UNFPA in 2018, where a call for contributions in the menstrual memo helped us find documentation.

Any reports or other documentation on what has happened since then - on your own work, or others and policy change, would be welcome, and we will reflect your contribution in the report, if possible. We are particularly interested in general policy level changes, specifically on tax exemptions (imports or sales), inclusion of menstrual health in school curricula, or other programmes. Of course, this is expected to lead to conclusions at the next menstrual health symposium in May 2021 - what works, what does not, what can we do in the future.

Call to action: please help us reflect what you think are important issues - progress and challenges!
