Rose Academies-Uganda ROSE

Since 2014, Rose Academies has been working in remote, rural villages of Central and Eastern Africa to empower the world's most oppressed persons with knowledge. Today, we are working in Uganda's rural poor communities as we teach healthcare, nutrition, water & sanitation and disease prevention.
In 2020, despite COVID, we established a fellowship program for young Ugandan adults that is a unique approach to the provision of career skills in healthcare, education, research and technology. Our fellowship program is entering its 3rd year and during that time has provided healthcare workshops to 5,000+ pregnant women and new mothers, teaching them how to care for their infants with the primary objective of lowering the high neonatal death rates.
Strong Partnerships
We believe in the power of collaboration and have developed strong partnerships with multiple universities. As a result, we bring innovative technology into rural communities with easy to understand healthcare knowledge so that lives can be saved.

Other Programs
For generations, persons with disabilities have suffered discrimination, abuse and exclusion from services. High rates of disease, malnutrition, and non-communicable diseases are taking lives that could have been prevented. Today, our Rose Uganda PWDs Chapter is teaching families how to eat more nutritious foods so they can experience better health. Our skills development program is just beginning and is teaching villagers how to make an oven for baking, tailoring, containerized gardening and how to develop a business and keep it financially stable. All these efforts are designed to empower this population so they can become self-sufficient and contributors to society.
Creative Arts
Our latest empowerment program gives young creative artists the opportunity to utilize their creative talents in developing powerful marketing programs designed to capture the attention of the younger generation. Our programs are meant to empower youth, build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing career skills for future employment.
