We have some exciting news regarding Working Group 4 – we want to integrate a sub-theme within the working group on sanitation systems and technology options which would focus specifically on sanitation issues in the context of cold climates. This includes any region with high altitudes, seasonal changes, or polar conditions: areas where unique climatic factors affect sanitation systems and specific solutions must be found to overcome challenges, such as freezing temperature, limited water access and infrastructure resilience.
