2013 SP10 Human Powered Sludge Pump To develop and commercialize a low-cost, manually operated, durable pump suitable for desludging watery sludge from pits/tanks in a safe and hygienic manner and increase the profits and quality of the service provided.

Testing performed in 2016 and 2017 revealed failure modes of the pump that need to be resolved. This work is scheduled for completion in Q1 of 2018 at which time testing will start over.
