Norms and Attitudes Towards Ecosan and Other Sanitation Systems EcoSanRes Fact Sheet 9 EcoSanRes (2006)

Generally, there is a shortage of solid studies of socio-cultural aspects of ecosan systems, and what is available is mainly in the form of anecdotal accounts. A desk study of what sociocultural knowledge is available at this point in time is therefore an important first step in developing further studies for which the desk study may be used as a baseline.
